My Trip to Singapore

I had my first travel abroad in 2008 when i visited my sister Nerie in Singapore. I got butterflies in my stomach because that was my first travel abroad. I had in mind the "hows" and "whys" and also the "what if.." in a reason that i was traveling alone to other country.

After three hours of reclining on the plane's seat, i reached my destination.

Singapore is just a small country. Anyone can go from east to west and north to south of the country in a day. Though a small country, as small as the Quezon City in the Philippines, the government is very strict. The country is very clean. Anyone can't even see a candy wrapper on the street and can't spit and smoke in public places. There was a news I heard that a foreigner was caught 3 minutes right after lighting up his cigarette in a public place.

Taking pictures (as most travelers especially Filipinos like to do) is the best thing to do to have keepsake.  Here are some pictures taken during my stay in Singapore.

                                                          Residential Buildings

Lot One Mall in Chua Chu Kang

                                                         A Muslim Mosque

                                                  .The Merlion at Raffles Place

                                                       The Merlion in Sentosa

The Merlion is a half-lion, half -fish chimera, the tourism symbol of Singapore.

The Cable Car - A mean of transportation to Sentosa Park

The Underwater World in Sentosa

In Chinatown - This place is like Divisoria in the Philippines

The talking piggy bank I bought during the Chinese New Year

Dinner at Singapura Grill

If you want Filipino foods, go to Lucky Plaza. You can choose your favorite "lutong bahay" Filipino dish here.

Tourist spots in Singapore are all manmade.  Even so, I appreciated the place very much. I learned a lot from my trip.  I had knowledge about Chinese culture and learned that a country even small, if governed very well and people follow rules and regulations, a country like Singapore will be progressive and impressive.
